Black Diamond is only sold at tractor supply as far as I know. Wasn't able to find one near you. Petco sells Black sand it's almost the same thing. If you don't need a lot of it People were selling it on the forum for pretty much just the cost of the flat rate shipping box.
You can check automotive body shops or any place that does media blasting. They may have some or be able to order you some. Home depot sells the blasting machines so they should have some sort of abrasive in store. Lowe's doesn't seem to have it even online anymore. |

Black Diamond is a trade name.
What I have is labeled Black Beauty. This stuff is supplied all over the country just with different regional trade names. Industrial supply outlets should have it.

I purchased "Black Magic" brand at a sandblasting supplier here in denver. Check your local sandblasting supplier. I got a 100 lb bag for I think, $12.
Rinse it well with just water in a 5 gal bucket before adding it to your tank. A word to the wise. "Prewashed and ready to use." on the bag means ready to use for sandblasting (this is blasting grit after all), not for aquariums. I got a LOT of superfine particulate and some oily film out of mine. Good luck. It is a really pretty substrate option. mine has some forest green bits in it.

And a bit on info, don't leave the Waterhose on the bottom of the bucket pushing the sand. It'll eat a hole in the bucket and ur and will spill out. Had it happen twice
