Scratch that. I'm on the mobile website now, it's pretty good but not as easy to check unread threads or threads that you've participated in.

@kyleT what kind of functionality can we expect in the mobile version? Or easier question what functionality will we loose? Is the mobile site also being launched on the 7th?
I am not very happy about this either as I have purchased tapatalk just for this forum. Recently after refusing to do so for a long time mite I add. (More warning would have bin nice)

It is correct that there are no known security risks with the latest version of TapATalk but there have been numerous security exploits discovered in the past that required us to upgrade multiple times. Like all software there will always be risks and we are simply minimizing our risks be decreasing our reliance on third party software.

I'm sorry, but you just described every piece of software created. Including the forum software that is used, which I might add has a laundry list of security issues, both past that have been fixed and present that still exist.

You know, this forum is here for ya'll to use for FREE. It's not here to make money for Kyle (it costs considerable money to pay for the software and server and such that is capable of hosting a website this large and picture-heavy), certainly not an income stream to justify the amount of time and effort he spends here, and the moderation team VOLUNTEERS our time also for free. We all work quite hard- behind the scenes the vast majority of the time- to keep this forum an informative and friendly place to spend time.

When Kyle makes a decision and explains the reason he's making that decision- he has nothing to hide nor anything to gain other than his blatantly expressed goals here. The changes that have been made over the years are VERY consciously geared towards keeping TPT a safe and friendly resource FOR HOBBYISTS, not a commercial venture.

If people needing technical assistance wish to start a new thread in the Board Suggestions/Questions forum with specific questions, feel free to do so.

I, however, am tired of reading continual complaining, so am closing this one.
