Back in college we did a bunch of baterial cultures for various places around the house, to see where the bacteria like to live and combined the data...turns out that bedsheets and fresh towels are damn near the dirtiest things in the house. (Only thing worse are doorknobs.)

So yes. I shower in the morning, then wipe myself down with a fresh towel so as to get my start for the day as a walking petri dish.

Also of note, the human body contains more prokaryotic bacteria cells than eukaryotic human cells. We are all colonies of a whole spectrum of biotica, just walking around trading DNA with each other (if we're lucky).

No need to be squeamish.

I have to take showers in the evening, especially after work at the medical examiner's, as there's a strong possibility that I'll smell like a decomposing corpse, literally. That smell gets everywhere, even in my hair.

I don't just take a shower at night because I am trying to avoid bacteria, but the feeling of being dusty, dirty, sweaty, smelly, and just the physical feeling of being dirty just does not seem like the way I want to feel when I am trying to rest my body for the next day. There are so many things you come in to contact with during the day like chemicals, body products, aerosols, and other things that can collect on your skin and you probably do not want to be marinating in them all while you sleep.

Night time! If you work all day gardening like I do, you have to unless you want your bed to be brown in the morning (from dirt )

I can't see myself doing it at night. I never really have... Then again, I have always lived in a dry climate, and I don't sweat really...

Usually I shower in the AM before work...and I will either have a bath or shower in the evening when I am in the house for good. After work I tend to the horses/fish tanks/other fur bearing critters and hit the treadmill/weight bench. I also work in a public school and behavioral health clinic...all that "public", animal, and personal grossness needs to be washed away at night as well. I also like to be fresh and awake for my day...plus my hair wont do anything if Ive slept on it.

I'm doing research in organic chemistry over the summer, so I'm around pretty dangerous chemicals all day. I try and shower as soon as I get home to prevent anything in my house from getting "contaminated"; so usually I shower right before supper.

Clean, but dirty. Washing away all you natural oils and such isn't good either.

I am a tradesman so showering at night isn't option. Gotta get all the blood, sweat and tears off. Literally.

I don't shower in the morning because it dries me out. Feeling itchy sucks.

I'm at the age in which I sweat at night so I could not imagine going out in public without having taken a shower first. Plus, I want my hair fresh and clean and just styled. I can't possibly do that with dirty hair from sleeping all night.

I don't see the point in showering at night since I'm just going to sweat while I sleep. I actually get worse when I sleep than I was before so it's like taking a shower to go do a workout. Makes no sense. Plus, I don't want to go through the whole process of drying my hair every night, and it takes too long to dry on its own.

i can't possibly get up and take a shower first thing in the morning, but it takes too long for my hair to dry to do it at night, and i get head colds when i sleep with wet hair D:

Wow, and all this time I thought that everybody took a shower at night. I really thought it was as common as blinking! If I get up in the morning and I am sweaty I will take a shower but that just doesn't happen to me.

Speaking of statistics, anybody watch "The United Stats of America"? I like that show!
