Looking to transplant my 10 gallon into a 30 gallon tank I just aquired. Right now I'm using a 27 watt harbor breeze home depot lamp over the 10 gal. how would the 36 in version of this lamp compare

I have been eying the same light. From what I have run across it is more medium light than low light/tech. Maybe the FugeRay instead if the Ray2 for low tech tanks?

This post has some PAR data for the shorter ones. We'll have to wait for the longer models to get in circulation.

So those finnex could grow plants? I believe my tank is a standard 30 gallon, 18 inches. For under 150$ seems like a decent intro to led.

Can medium light be non-CO2? If I put the Ray2 DD 18" on a tank that is 20" deep, it should be ~35-40 PAR at the substrate. Is the substrate where you compare the PAR values?

I may just pull the trigger and get this light, what how many watts of t5ho would this be equivelant to over an 18in depth tank?
