So I was told that paintball co2 was a no go

So I am getting ready to do some major overhauling to a 55 gallon setup I have (going from very LOW light to med-high light) and wanted to do a paintball setup and after some comments in the lighting area I'm guessing that it def won't end up being cost effective for me to do that....

Here are the parameters of the tank in question:
55 Gallon
T5 HO 2 x 54 (looking at the Corallife with the LED moonlights)
Tank gets quite a bit of ambient indirect sunlight
Using some amazing ferts from nilocg (my plants have literally exploded this week!)

^^ I am going to be doing another setup very similar to this and possibly two more by the end of the year so maybe itll be more cost effective to buy in bulk (if 2 or 3 count as bulk)

I am currently using a liquid co2 booster (from API) but know that I need over to pressurized when I upgrade my lighting

I checked out the sticky above and this seems like it's going to be quite a lot of parts are there any all in one kits that I can buy from somewhere or is this going to have to be a complete DIY job?

(PS I'm not looking to buy now but I am prepping to buy everything and get everything going here in about 6-8 weeks I like to shop and figure everything out ahead of time)

Thanks in advance for the replies

.....

Oh and is Paintball ok for use with a 10 gallon tank? Also what's the largest tank size where a paintball setup is feasable?

There are several builders on the forum that can hook you up with a sweet system that is very affordable. If you are going to keep your tanks fairly close together, let the builder you choose know they can hook you up so you can run both tanks off of a single system. I won't go any other way than to hook up with one of the builders here. They are awesome!

I am using a 20oz paintball tank with a hex-manifold regulator. I am currently sending co2 to my 40 gallon and my 29 gallon and I get about a month and a half until I need to get a refill. I have a couple 20oz co2 bottles filled at all times and I just rotate them. It is not so bad going to the local paintball shop and having them refilled for $4 bucks once a month. It has been much easier than having to fill my 5lbs tank. It seems like everybody who I go to get the 5lbs filled they all are really rude.

Here is a link to everything I have and it is working perfectly. Check my 29 gallon and 40 gallon tanks in my signature and you will see that it is working fine.

I am not saying that paintball is better, but in my experience I have found it to be much easier. Not to mention my tanks are not on stands that allow anything to be put underneath them so I don't want a big used co2 tank sitting out in the open.

My Paintball store is who actually fills my 5lb, 10lb and 15lb bottles with no issues while I wait. My 5lb runs a 29 gallon and a 46 gallon and I have to refill it every 3 to 4 months and it cost me $8.00 to fill. Cheaper and last longer then a paint ball set up. Ive gone to a couple other places and no issues with rude people there either.. Must be just who your dealing with.
