Keeping plants alive for three days?
I picked up some plants while on vacation... stuff I can't find locally. It'll be three days till I can get them in my tank. Should I keep them bagged with a little water for the whole thing? Light or no light? Add water or not?
I've never kept plants out of a tank this long that I care about. Not sure how to keep them. I was thinking in a container of water would be the best and try to get them some light each day.

Wrapping them with moist paper towel with not too much water will help . Seal the plastic bag and keep them away from heat. You don't want them to boil. You should be fine for 3 days even more.

I agree except no paper towel. It will trap too much moisture and encourage the plants to rot. Instead, just put the moist plants in a bag and seal it tight. You want to maintain moisture and humidity without excess wetness. The plants should do fine. It's no different than how plants are shipped among people here all the time.

maybe an ice in a plastic bag in a 70-80 degree room would work but why would you order a plant while you are away?
