My 10g

This is my first tank ever; Started off knowing nothing bud did a lot of research on what to do and what not to do before I got fish. Started off with ugly puke looking gravel and was not liking the look of my tank. Well about a few weeks later I changed the gravel to another color and was still not happy. Now the tank has sand and I'm very happy with the look so far. Tomorrow I will be picking up three more neon tetras. This has be up for two maybe three months now.

Fauna
1. Dwarf Gourami
2. Neon Tetra

is this tank cycled?
next step is getting it planted! (and yeah, more neons...they're happiest in groups of 6+)

Yes this tank is cycled it's been up 3 months now with no problems. I read all about the cycling and all that good stuff before I even got fish.

You will think I'm out of my mind when I tell you this; I have an Aquatop CF400UV 4-Stage Canister Filter with UV 9W, 370 gph. It's still in the box but yes I'm thinking of hooking it up to this tank. People said to get a better filter and that's what I did.

You should get rid of all the fake plants and get some real ones in there, with a nice little piece of driftwood.

Make it look natural.

Thanks. Well my HOB filter went out I'm not sure what happen. The filter has water in it and looks fine. I'm going to just pick up a bigger tank since I already have that huge filter. Maybe something like 30g tank.

Oh yeay, you'll be happy with something bigger. You will find it's much easier to plant and work in than a 10gal. But you'll soon be addicted and probably end up planting that 10gal too :P

No kidding. I specifically set up a 10 gal as a quarantine tank...but I couldn't control myself and now its full of plants and catfish.

Like...one day it was a bare bottome quarantine...and then I blacked out...and when I came to it was a planted tank.
