Fluval EBI Filter

Hey Guys I was just wondering. Is the Filter with the Spray Bar that comes with the Fluval EBI Kit Ok for baby shrimp. Or should i toss it aside and just use a sponge filter.

Sponge filter, that stock filter will suck up the babies. I use an Aquaclear 20 with a very fine sponge on mine.

The trick with the Fluval filter is to cover the intake with black pantyhose or stockings. Works perfectly and is surprisingly not gross-looking.

Pantyhose clogs easily, I add some filter floss (the kind with bigger gap) then the pantyhose, this way, it lasts much longer.
