Hey guys! Hope you can help a little here.
So here is a little background on my current set up. 29 gallon tank with emperor 150. 5watts of lighting. Double two liter co2 diy systems. Dirt capped with pfs. I've got 10 neon tetras 6 sterbai cories and 2 otos I recently purchased two bags of eco conplete and am going to redo my tank with compact corymbosa bacopa java fern dwarf sag and anubias. I have a few questions really quick maybe you can cover. Will dwarf sag grow better/faster than hair grass? will the co2 be necessary or beneficial? how do you attach anubias to driftwood? also considering adding some cherry red and crystal red shrimp. thanks for any help guys! |

1. Dwarf sag will grow much faster under low light/tech conditions.
2. Co2 would be necessary if you wanted to get higher light plants. But the plants you mentioned would be fine w/o co2. 3. You can use rubberbands or cotton thread to tie anubias Why are you stopping the dirt? It will get you better results then just eco complete. You can add a high quality root tab, but dirt gets awesome results with no co2 or ferts. (Check out "dustinsfishtanks" on youtube, all his tanks use dirt) |

My cories continuously bury under the sand and kick up the dirt which stains the tankand gets wood chunks all over.

O wow, I have never heard of cories digging that much. Was your cap over the dirt at least and inch?
And also I do not think that your sterbai's will enjoy the jaggedy pebbles of eco complete. I may be wrong as I have never kept cories yet. (I really want to tho!) |

Yeah I had it an inch first then I tried again with 2 inches. I'm not positive it qas the cories but something was doing it. I have looked all over abd everyone says corues work well with eco complete

They will be ok, but they wont thrive. From what ive heard the difference with cories on gravel and sand is night and day. Sorry but I think a lot of people would agree. They would still be fine tho
