What plant would work for me?

So I recently joined the forum and my 2.5 is doing better! My algae issues, knock on driftwood, are resolved and I am ready to make it what I would like.

So In short, I was thinking of adding some type of vals, or taller plants to the back line of the aquarium slightly curving inwards at the corners of the tank, sort of bring the focus in. What would be recommended? I'm going low tech, so nothing that will be dependent on co2. Below are my specs and I will include a pic.

Specs:
1 Betta
Jennywort, Anubis, bananna plant and swords and a few small water cabbage already reside, but willing to get rid of/move about.

I am doing root tabs 1x monthly and have stopped the liquid ferts- so far so good. I currently have a pebbly substrate- I would like the river bottom look.

Thanks for reading the ramble- any suggestions are appreciated!

Nice tank. I would add some driftwood and moss.

Some aponogeton sp. May look nice in back, they can be a little greedy, but they are very hardy given proper care. They flower and litter the tank with babies, kinda great actually.

Thanks all, I will look into the plants suggested. I find it pretty hard to find drift wood in my area that is small and not pricy! I could do a mossy branch which would fill up the empty space.

Stick some peace lilies, caladium bicolor, or zebrina in that HOB
