What to visit in Philly?

like i mentioned i havent been to those stores in 2 years. Except for Captain nemo's reopening and Giant Aquarium. And i can bid for giant aquarium as a MUST see small fish store (its literally someones house converted into a fish store).

If your in center city then the fish stores near you are Monster Pets and Giant Aquarium. Monster Pets is just a big fish store with other pet products, nothing special but if ur just looking for somewhere to go feel free. Giant aquarium is a must like mentioned above.

There are NO fish stores in china town. There was one. but im pretty sure they didnt do well. The sign is still there and the tanks are still there but the door is locked. Its located above a hair salon. U can go up the hall way and look through the door and find a nice tank filled with healthy java moss but thats pretty much all u can see. The tanks still up and runing but the store is closed.

Im pretty sure they're a supplier of fancy illegal red arrowanas :P!!! u didnt hear it from me. just an assumption from asians (im asian)

Thanks, we sure tried hard there to fill the tanks with different types of fish when I was there. Its still a good fish store, but we sure use to put coupons out to move fish. Like buy one fish get one for a penny. Thanks for the memory!!

Last time i was in there (about a month ago) every tank, and i mean every single tank was green. And they were that way for a couple months. Equipment is highly over priced. But the people are nice there.

When i went to world wide aquarium, maybe 2 weeks ago. The store was completely closed. Apparently, from some crossing guard, the stores reticulated python repeatedly escapes at night and the store shut down. I went back for some driftwood i was eyeing too
had nice exotic fish though

i've only been to Giant Aquarium once a year or 2 ago, but it was pretty neat.
Not much of a variety but if i remember right they had discus, flowerhorns, arowana, koi, and idk what else.

That's about cover it. It's a specialty store. I heard that they do carry CRS now..

One would think that the retic. enclosure would be the most secure in the reptile dept. Guess that says something about the place.
