DIY stand question
I am going to be building a stand for 2 40 breeders with a little shelving above them.
My question is, how much space should I leave above the top of the tank (for access and net manipulation, etc) before I start the shelving? Thanks

A 40B is a low tank for its length, so people tend to suspend the light several inches above the top of the tank to reduce the intensity to a more appropriate level. I think that should be your primary criteria. I would leave at least a foot of space just to be able to put the light that high above the tank.

Thanks Hoppy. I value your opinion. I will make sure I leave that much space. I will make sure I can adjust the height of the light when I design the stand.

I'll post it when I get it built. Right now it is only in my head.... and a crude drawing on paper....
