LOL! Craigslist is the worst! I answered an ad that was looking to place some turtles because they were moving THAT DAY. I've run an informal turtle rescue since my vet days, so I couldn't NOT answer it. I got there and there was also a sweet little pleco in the turtle tank -- I certainly couldn't leave him behind! Of course, I wasn't going to put him back in with the RES -- they're such carnivores! That's where it all started... the obsession with the planted tanks, the fish, the whole watery mess. ;-) At least your setup came with CO2... even if it was weird and hinky, what a good start!
