My First Shrimp Tank

So far I have 12 shrimp. 2 RCS 4 Yellow Neo and 6 CRS. At some point I will separate them.

They have been somewhat more active recently and have been molting like crazy. A bunch of my yellows look like they are saddled although I havent seen any berried so far. They seem good so far. My only issue is my greenish water which Im working on.

Cool. Separate those neos now if you've got saddled females.

The green water is most likely an algal bloom. Keep the lights off in the tank for about a week and do WC and it should go away. If it's near a window, block off that side with something dark, like a black towel. Ambient light added to the tank light just makes things worse.

Yepper. Yellows and RCS are the same, just different varieties so they'll cross breed. You may have already known that though.

I love the color on the yellow though!

Um...not sure, as I have never had them. Maybe have the lights on for like two or three hours a day, just enough to keep them alive. If you have more than one bulb, you could try turning some off too. But whatever you do, don't use any algacidal chemicals.
