I am debating ordering these for a new tank setup - they are expensive, and the bottom line is will my plants grow under them. I have searched online, lots of info about them with saltwater and corals, little to nothing with freshwater plants. If anyone has feedback please post

A DIY build will provide more functionality and lower cost and higher power if wanted and you can get the color temp you desire for a lot less, however if you're willing to dish out the money I don't see why you couldn't use one if they have one for planted tanks

I must add I love their products, just not lighting. If it were the power heads you were asking about I would say they're worth it. I still prefer my tunze though:p
