An Interesting Backyard Find
A few days ago I was walking in my backyard and noticed these mats of moss growing. I decided to see if the species could grow submersed.
It seems to be doing well; its been submersed for 3 or 4 days now. I wonder how long I should wait to declare it aquatic? I was also wondering if anyone knows the species? I've been thinking of using bleach (ratio 1:19) to disinfect it, because I did notice a worm. No plants are sprayed in my area, fortunately! |

non aquatic moss can survive or even grow in your tank for a month or two then eventually die out.
If you find that their frowns are reaching up and stretching then that might be an indicator that they are not truly aquatic. |
