Jungle Val Question

My Val is growing well, however, when the new growth is 4 inches long or so, the tip of the leaf turns brown and gets ragged. The leaf continues to grow, but that nice pointed tip is gone.

Its not a big deal but I like to strive for perfection

I figure something must be wrong or is beginning to go wrong, or just slightly off.

My setup is in my signature line.....

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I noticed mine did that when I had them, not sure why.

Also just something I found out, depending on current temp of tank, if you go closer to 80-82 degrees it will grow slower but create a much tighter spiral.

Thanks. They were doing so well and then this started. I don't dose excel so that's not it. I started using h2o2 twice a week for some BBA and I'm wondering.....
