What plants did my LFS sell me?
New to this forum - looks like a great place for information. Had a Saltwater tank for 8 years and this site is like the www.reefcentral.com site. Excited to try freshwater.
I got these three plants from a local Fish Store and which had the tags saying that they were 2 Anubias plants and 1 Cryptocoryne plant. The problem is that I can not match these plants with any Anubias or Crypt plants in the plant profile list? Are these plants what they advertised to be? Please help me to identifiy them............ thanks lots. |

Welcome to the site! Now that you have the planted curiosity, hope it continues. Love to see new people get interested about it. Planted tanks are much more benefical and the inhabitants will love it

The 1st is a crypt. And the second 2 are swords.
Possibly a Mellon and an Amazon sword Sent from my SPH-M820-BST using Tapatalk 2

Planning on a 90Gal low light tank:
Currently have 1 54watt 65K T5HO light with signal reflector and using another 54Watt T5HO light (it is a saltwater light that has the 65K spectrum but added a blue spectrum - it is called a bluespecial but will most likely change that or just stay with 1 light once the water clears up (water is tan from the leaching tannis from the mopani wood). Aquatop 500 CF500UV cannister filter Eco-complete substrate - 2-3 inches Question: Would these plants be okay in the low light tank? And these plants should be planted in the substrate right (cause I have them on the wood because I thought they were anubias? Thanks so much for the replies - it is great how so many people like to share their experince and knowledge. |
