100 gallon reboot

Hello all. I been lurking for awhile now and recently got into the game when I planted my Finnex 4g. Well, that sparked my interest into going full force on my 100 gallon I've had for 15+ years. Tank livestock went something like this: silver arowana - jardini arowana - 4 red parrots - 5 red belly piranahs - jardini arowana.

Just sold my jardini today and cleaned the tank top to bottom.

And my journey into getting this 100 gallon setup begins...(please excuse all crappy cell pics used in this journal)

As you can see from the picture I had crappy tape on background that came loose over the years with no way of being fixed (too close to the wall). Decided to paint the back black and be done with dirty tank backs and wallpaper for good.

1st coat

painted chrome shoplight black to match

I originally planned on a dwarf puffer species tank, but am afraid they'd disappear in a tank so large. Think I'm leaning more towards a community tank now. Stocking suggestions are welcomed!

Current equipment:
Tank: 100 gallon 60X18X20
Lighting: HD diamond plate shoplight with 2x32 watt GE 6500k T8 (enough lighting?)
Filter: Rena XP3 (getting a 2nd one soon)
Heating: Don't remember (getting 2 hydor inline 300w)

Thanks GMYukonon24s

Sorry for the lack of updates. I probably spent a few hrs everyday after work since this journal started trying to get my tank setup. Added another XP3 canister filter and 2 Hydor 300 inline heaters. Picked up a 10lb co2 tank for my reg that's getting diffused via Cerges reactor. Also added another Home Depot shop light.

Tank is finally filled and planted. Sorry for the crappy pic, I'm still dealing with micro bubbles coming from both filters.

I really need some color in there and that open space where that 1 rock sits needs to be filled with something. Also contemplating if I want to attach any moss or maybe nana petite to the wood/branches. Not entirely sure what my stocking plans are, but I do want to take advantage of PetSmart's $1 fish sale so I foresee some otos and tetras of some kind.

Itching to add fish to this tank, but ammonia test yesterday was giving me 8ppm. Planning a large water change after work. I also notice a lot of my anubias are melting. Rhizomes are looking like mush. Should I just remove these or is there a chance a tiny part of them is alive and will bounce back?
