I'm pretty new to the concept of using LEDs over planted tanks. In my experience, LED fixtures have always been catered to the reefer's market and I always just assumed it wasn't for me.
Recently though, I've been doing research on LED options and, now that I'm due to replace my t5 lamps this month, I was wondering if maybe I should just switch to an LED fixture instead of investing more into the t5 light.
Can anyone recommend a decent first LED to get my feet wet with? It would be going onto my 30gal crypt tank that I'm using to try to breed threadfin rainbows so I don't need crazy amounts of light, nor am I interested in maxing out my credit card. The tank is 36" long and 18" tall and the most light demanding plant in there is Crypt parva. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
