Stores in Boston

-10 on petexpress I Lynn. A bunch of kids running that store. More knowledge and exp at petco/petsmart

I like Skiptons, they have fish I never thought I'd see in a store. Dario dario, sparkling gouramis, killifish pairs, wild bettas, shrimp, and numerous nano fish.

+1 for Skipton's. I think they're on the up and up. Good collection of FW fish and plants. More than most LFS that I've been to and the only one actually in the Boston area that is reachable without a car.

Plus, the staff there is friendly and helpful.

Unique Aquaria (aka Skipton's) is moving to Woburn. I think their last day in Boston is July 22.

I guess this is good news for residents of Woburn, but for the urban dwellers it's sad news.

Maybe I'll hop the commuter rail to their new digs.
Any suggestions for other T-accessible stores? (other than Petco)

Really ? Where did you get this info from ? There is nothing on bostonreefers about it.
If they are moving I am going to be very happy. Woburn is much closer to me than Boston.

I went into the store yesterday, and I overheard an employee mention it to another customer. When I went to pay for my item, I asked the cashier and she confirmed they were moving. They said they'll be handing out informational flyers soon.

What are your resources? They just set up a huge tank system in the basement to start selling online. I doubt they are moving any time soon.

Ok, I just confirmed it. The current location will be closed end of July and through August for the move and the plan is to open the new place on the 1st of September. Not that I didn't believe you personally, I just didn't think they would spend all that time setting up the basement just to move it LOL. Can't wait to see what they do with a new place.

Jabberwock Reptiles (959 Main Street Winchester, MA) is a small store but had some outstanding driftwood (mopani, Malaysian) for reasonable prices. The store owner is pretty helpful too.

Wow, as a car-less city-dweller I'm bummed to hear they're leaving...but glad I read this because I was about to make the trek out there

I guess this would leave Lovely Pets as the best LFS in T-range?

I spoke to them just before they closed their Boston Location, They plan on significantly expanding their freshwater selection including setting up iwagumi and nature aquarium style display tanks.
