So I can cut that stand up for you right? I actually have another single one just like that. None are used for fish tank these days. they are actually 20" deep (23" outside dimension).

You are going to need a stand that is at least 49" inside dimension based on the above specs. Add another 3" to the overall length because of the 2"x4"

so youre saying that one of your cutup 75 stands wouldnt fit 10s widthwise? and i havnt thought to much about filtration, but the 55 would probably have an xp3 or a cfs500 canister on it, either on the floor next to the tank or behind the 20h if it fits, or even replacing a 10g if needed. if space is really a concern id used ac110s or the like
