Sunset hygro FS or trade

I just did a major prune job on my hygro, which has been very cooperative lately. I'm asking $5.00 for 7-9 stems, or I'll swap for some weeds, preferably dwarf sag or Brazilian pennywort. Pick-up as always is in ...Brighton Beach.

Yep, that's why the offer is for pick-up only.

Batteries dead in my camera. I have 1 bag of the hygro left, nice & healthy with very red tops. I plan to be in the Union Square area later today, so the plants can be picked up there.

Slightly unrelated, but how do you get them red? I've had some in my tank for two months, they've gotten to be about 6 inches but never had any sign of color.

Parameters:
29 gallon tank
Co2 (2bps)
5 hours T5 HO lighting (24x2, plant and colormax)
Dosing a cap of Seachem Iron once a week

I think it might be the duration of the lighting. I'm using the same lighting as you, in a 20 H, but for 12 hours daily, no Co2 & I dose 2 ml Brightwell Florinmulti after a 30% weekly water change. The leaves are mostly green with white veins, but turn red the last 2-3 inches closest to the tubes.

Whoa, I think I'll increase ~7 and see what happens. I was terrified of algae at anything more than 10. Thanks!

OK, you win, just take them off my hands! I have the hygro in a ziploc bag ready to go. Today is your last chance-I have no time during the week. If you want to trade something, fine, but the plants are now free. The clock runs down at 7 pm, when the hygro goes to join its friends duckweed & salvinia at the local sewage treatment plant.

Don't want to come off as preachy, but you should be composting/throwing those in the trash, not flushing them...

I was just kidding - I'm aware of the whole "noxious weed" thing. I'll probably donate them at the next BAS auction.
