Lost disciple

I'm starting a new aquarium, it's 29g tank, this time I'm trying to give it some nice scape. Since I'm really new to scaping, i would really appreciate your thoughts on this. I'm not sure what kind of plants I'm gonna use yet, but its gonna be some low,mid-high light plants, I'm not gonna use co2 as of yet. Ferts PPS-pro. Substrate is flourite black. any ideas on the plants, what I have at home are some amazon swords, cabomba, jave fern, anubias, sagitaria, taiwan moss...

Substrate: Flourite black
Ferts: PPS-pro, seachem root tabs
Equipment: 30" 2x24W Deep Blue Solarmax HO light with Zoomed bulbs(ultrasun, florasun), sponge filter and heater(these are temporary) i will use eheim 2213 with hydor inline heater. just need to get some tubing

Plants:
Amazon sword
sagittaria subulata
cabomba caroliniana
some ludwigia
taiwan moss
anubias nana

Looks pretty good so far. Plant list sounds like good place to start.

This sides are too close in "weight." I would take the one out that is in the far back right corner.

I might also move the one on the left a few inches to the right. You might even be able to use the one you took out to make the left side even more bold.

+1
And Maybe move the left arrangement towards the center a smudge. Think a 3 to 2 ratio with the focal centers.

Hi Jason, thanks for the idea, I know this might sound stupid but what do you mean by making it more bold. Thanks

Just means if the left side is still too weak in comparison to the right, you could use that piece you took out to help beef it up a bit.

As far as plants, nothing you mentioned seems to compliment that hardscape. I think that wood has more of a rock feel to it. I would use shorter plants, if not just a foreground plant like HC or glosso...iwagumi with rock

i just took out the piece you mantioned, it kinda seems empty in that corner now lol, i also moved the bigger piece on the left a bit to the center... i didnt think about those plants, main reason being i dont have co2. dont have any experience with them. here is a pic what it looks like now.

sorry about the quality

looks pretty good to me. do you have any more substrate? i would add more to the back to corners to create the illusion of depth.
