I'm wondering if one knows the GH is much different in the destination tank than where a new fish came from, is there anything special one ought to do to acclaimate the fish?
I've always, in my head, likened GH to air pressure, you can survive in different pressures, just don't move quickly from one to the other or your lungs will explode.
Is there some rule of thumb that we ought to follow when we know a fish will be seeing a changing GH? There are suggestions for temp change rates, pH change rates, what about GH?
(I'm still wondering if this has been the cause of death in some of my cories)
