Oh man, I found a use for my old 233MHz computer sitting at home! I downloaded a Nintendo emulator (SNES9x) that runs on any PC. You can google for the emulator and the games (ROMs), they're only 300Kb or so a piece. I played Super Mario Bros and Master Blaster for hours last night!

I loved the games for the SNES, you got to try Super Metroid and Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Those have to be my favourite games on that system.

Yes! There are Atari emulators as well. I believe www.classicgaming.com has some. This is great! I might have to pick up Super Metroid as well, even though I've never played it.

Went to the SNES9x website. They reference a download page on the main page but there is no friggin' clue as to where the download page is, no link, no nothin'.
I went to the forum and there is a thread about where to DL it. ALL links within this thread are dead. Does this really exist or is this some kinda joke ?????????????? |

For some reason, SNES9x doesn't have a download location on their website any more. Dunno why. Search google for it. There are other sites that have it. I got mine at this link:
http://www.lysator.liu.se/snes9x/ But these sites come and go since lawyers get antsy with all this crap.

Sometimes it has to do with bandwidth. Mame.dk was the best Mame rom source- fast downloads, no ads, free registration, and tons of info. First they were asked to remove roms. Later they had the downloads back on but could not keep up with the bandwidth costs.

I DL'ed Mario Kart and could not for the life of me get my cart to move. Must take a special controller. Nothing on the keyboard would get it to move. I could get marios head to bob left and right with the direction arrow keys but that's all.

Guess I am the last person on earth, that still has 2 working original nintendo players
Not to mention, 1 (or more) of every game console known to man, made after the Atari I can thank GameHead hubby for that. I will ask him when he gets home, about where he DL's his stuff for the emulators.
