Blue Pearl colors?

I just got in some BPs, and I noticed the red pattern on some of them looks really cool. But I like the blue too! Is there someway to get a blue shrimp with red markings, or are the genetics against that?

Rilis are blue/red. Some blue pearls can also, but its not common and usually not seen as spots

Sorry, I'm not experience enough to answer your question but I have to say I love the red spots on blue pearls =D some more apparent than others. Here's one of my older females who have it =)

They are beautiful!

Its likely a recessive trait that was exposed in this generation. Since she's berried, you have the opportunity to know if the next generation will share this trait.

I think the spots were remnants of stripes that have been bred out, like tigers have stripes bred in. Im just throwing out my thought, not a truth. Hopefully someone else may chime in to confirm or deny

I have several blue pearls with white (not clear) bodies and a hint of blue. They kind of look like a blue bolt. Is this new or should I cull them out?

I'll try to get pics up soon, but the particular shrimps with the best markings are being stinkers. The markings though are like tiger stripes, a bit broken up though. The base is faintly blue, it looks amazing, but I wish there was more blue to go with the red. Still a juvi though, so I'll have to see how it develops

would breeding the stripes and color traits work the same as breeding any other trait?
