8 gallon hex fry tank

hey everyone just a few pics of my low tech 8 gall for my fry. i have 60 fry in the tank at this stage i dont normally keep that many but had a recent bloom lol i have a 50w heater in the tank set to 27 degrees centigrade i have an elite stingray filter with fine mesh across the intake to ensure that no fry are injured i used to use aqua one sponge but this stop so much detritus build up on the substrate substrate is sand with root tabs with fine layer of gravel on top. lighting is a reptile 60 w basking bulb around 17 inches from substrate
no c02 or liquid ferts
the fry are guppies i am expecting mollies and platies within maybe a week i also have malaysian trumpet snails in the tank as clean up
the flora are
salvinia aurticulata
elodea densa
cacomba
sagittaria natans
ludwigia mullertii
mayaca fluviatillis
ludwigia natans
cryptocoryne ciliata

nice setup. how long did you take to cycle the tank before adding the guppies? Any photos of the parents

i cycled some filter media in my 37 gall for a month or so then removed 8 gal of water from the 37 and added it to the 8 gal along with the cycled media and i got a few of thye parent and some of the last batch of fry i had
