Tank ravaged by Neon Tetra Disease; how to start over

i have/had a large community tank with NTD... lost 50 neon tetra; a few each day over the past few weeks. devastating.

along the way, a few non neon tetra died as well, presumably from eating the dead bodies i couldn't dispose of in time. but for the most part, all other fish are happy & healthy.

how do i start over? is this tank completely doomed for any future neon tetras if i don't re-home the existing fish and bleach it?

It couldn't hurt to break down and bleach your hardware.
A UV sterilizer could help as well.

You could just use antibiotic to "cleanse" the tank.

NTD is a protozoan, probably not affected by antibiotics. There's no cure with medicine at the moment.
