Help with LED lighting.
Well folks I have a question I've got a 18" cube and I'm struggling to light it. I had a 150w hqi (too much light) a 70w hqi (not quite enough light) I now have a dual t5 ho (I like it probably need a quad to cover the whole 18"). So here is my problem, the shortest T5 fixture I can find is 20" so it will hang over the side of the tank. I built this setup to be open topped to have nice clean lines which is why I went with the hqi pendents. The only option I can see in pendent form that may work for me are LEDs. Does anyone have any experience with PAR38's what will the 12000k look like and do they make a cooler color like 8 or 10k. Also are there any other LED pendents that people recommend.
Key specs Needs to be 12-14" above the tank Needs to be dimmable (I want control) Has to fit in a pendent smaller than 12"x12" to look right over the tank Check out my cube tank for a visual of the tank Thanks for the help Len
