Lighting problems
Hey guys sooo i have a 20 gallon with a bunch if med light plants so i was wondering what is stroger and better 2 fixutre that has 4x13 watt cfl or 2 fixture with 2 t5 6500k thats 18" i believe 20 watss each so you think its good to mix th up like cfl and t5 or both t5 or both cfl

I would go T5's all the way. They are just a better light IMO

But if i use t5s only thats gonna be 30 watts in total which is 1.5 wpg? Is that stilll considered med light?

the wpg rule doesnt really work all that well for t5 bulbs you would probs be ok but make sure you can raise them if need be

Raise them? What happens i dot taise them?? Cuz right now theyre sitting on top of my glass canopy :S and theyre 2 seperate fixtures

How much light you will get with the T5HO lights depends entirely on how good the reflectors are and whether they use real HO ballasts that drive the bulbs to full HO power. What lights do you have?
