new to freshwater planted aquariums
Hey guys! so im new to the planted aquariums but not new to the addiction!! i have a Reef tank and a member of COMAS but wanting to get into the planted aquarium side of things im going to be using a 75 gallon with led lighting and have the co2 system on its ways but unsure which substrate to use. my LFS " Aquariums in Edmond" said theres a good DIY way to do it. Does anyone know how?

I'm just getting into this myself and am also going to be setting up a new tank. I have some organic miracle grow potting soil that i'm going to use as an inch to 3 sub-soil then top it with black flourite

by the way Mbryant. If you're ever in Tulsa stop by our shop at 61st and Memorial. We're all saltwater but I have a few fresh water displays set up and a vivarium to show off what we can do for maintenance clients. I'm exceted about getting a nice planted tank up there. How'd yours turn out. My miracle grow with a flourite and eco complete cap turned out GREAT. The water was very tan for about the first month but a weekly water change took care of that.
...Oh, we also have some fresh water supplies at the shop |
