What are you feeding those huge shrimps? I'll be getting some in a few weeks.

Chicken. hahaha
Mine eat algae, shrimp food, fish flakes, veggies, they're not picky. They love blood worms, but they should only have them once in a while as a treat.

Thanks!
I have lots of algae for them to eat... then I'll get some Repashy food, and then some shrimp pellets.

I'd go easy on the shrimp pellets. The protein content is too high to be a staple in their diet. Also, some have trace metals that are ok for fish, but can build up and cause problems for shrimp.

I have never experience an issue from the small amounts of copper found in prepared foods. I fed them for years before there were other options and never had any issues wiht longevity or breeding. That being said, there are better diets now available. The reality is that amanos will eat just about anything, so don't need specialized foods. |

Hey Rachel, been looking at the Dario hysginon. Everything I see mentions their retiring nature, I'm looking to add them to my smalls tank. How do you think they will do w/ my Y Cruciatus, Cpd, C. Habrosis and Chili Rasboras or is that too boisterous for them ie food competition. Also, would Dario Dario be a bad match with the Dario Hysginon?

Do you have a date when you're going to start selling your m. kubotai? I'm just curious, I hope I'm not being too annoying... >>
In other news, I just caught my microcrabs mating. It was really neat, I hope the babies survive. |
