Hi there, would a 6fan model on a 72 gallon tank be sufficient to drop the temp in a tank about 2-3 degrees?

Are these real?

Should be... depends a bit on some unknowns. Evaporative cooling depends on good air exchange, so if the tank is completely covered it wouldn't be effective. It works better in a dryer climate, etc.

So do you think 2 4fan models would work better?

Hi, Thank you for your inquiry. Wasserpest is right. If the tank is completely covered, it wouldn't be effective. If not, yes, two 4 fan models should be sufficient and more efficient than a 6 fan model for your tank.
