Anyone selling shrimp in NoVa. I'm looking for some RCS to start a colony for my first shrimp experience, but if you have something else let me know also.

Not to hijack, but you have the tigers Larry? If so, do you have any pics? I am fairly close and wouldn't mind coming down that way to hit up REI anyways. Maybe a meet could be arranged (if you have the shrimp that is).

Not sure where in NOVA you will be, but I started my first Red Cherry & Bee Shrimp tank from a Local Store in Frederick, MD. It's not far from Leesburg.

Their shrimp are about $4/each, but supply varies since they get (if I understood correctly) their shrimp from a local shrimp lover.

Depending on how many and how much (or what) you can pay (or barter), I may be able to let go of a few of my starting colony to help you out. I'm getting an order of 30 RCS in Monday or Tuesday, so....

I do need to explore some other stores close to DC, but I know local one in Leesburg isn't worth visiting. Their target clientele is...well...fit's with the general NOVA mindset (too much $ and not much sense).

If you get any other tips on stores or local breeders, I'd be interested in that info too.

Anyway, if convenient, I'm always up for some good nerdy tank talk.
