Best nano kit?
What's the best all inclusive nano aquarium kit for shrimp tanks, <10 gallons? I was thinking a Fluval Ebi, but I don't want to have to buy "extra" parts if some part like the filter on the Ebi was no good. Looking for nice quality on everything in the package. Thanks.

+1. I think the Eheims have the best light compared to the Fluval and Finnex kits. The light itself retails for $99 and puts out 1200 lumens.

OP, all depends on what kind of plants you're looking to grow. If plants arn't you're greatest concern, lights arn't going to be as important and you can start looking for a setup that satisfies your footprint likings. |

Is anyone familiar with this setup Finex-Schumber Wright Mini 66? I just saw this one the Finex sight and it looks like an awesome nano setup. It looks like a really cool kit with an awesome light. Here's the link http://www.finnex.net/index.php?opti...=300&Itemid=61

Just bought the Shuber-Wright 6 gal set with the finnex cannister and finnex 24w light. Haven't set it up yet but the the tank is pretty sweet, except for the beveled edge. It's not ADA but the silicone work is pretty nice.

I really like the light set-up on that kit. It looks like it could work for a nano riparium.

+1 for the Finnex 4g + canister filter from an owner. It's a solid complete setup.
I've seen the 6g Schuber-Wright at an LFS and it seemed solidly built - but the beveled rim, as nokturnalkid mentioned, isn't for everybody. I likely wouldn't buy that for that sole reason. That said however Finnex products are top notch. I expect pretty much whatever you get you'll get your money's worth.

Yeah don't really care for the evolve tanks. Acrylic plus a 2yr old is a recipe for scratches. Lol. Also, the led that comes with it is basically going to grow you mosses and very low light plants. But, it's cheap enough to where you can buy a clip on cfl desk lamp for $10.
On a side note about the beveled edges on the shuber wright tanks, you could always just turn the tank around. The bevel is only on one side. I plan on turning the tank around when I set it up.
