A breif introduction about me.
My name is Dave. I work in the automotive industry. I'm a car nut, my latest interests are mid 80's toyotas specifically AE series Corollas. I'm active on a few toyota boards. I like to keep on top of the latest advances in computer technology. I've been involved in the aquarium scene for about 5 years now. I was interested in salt water for a while but the costs have forced me to come back to the simplicity of fresh.
My current running tank is a 54 Gal fresh(36x18x20), 2x30watt NO flourescent, aquaclear 300, Ugf with 402 powerhead, 150 watt heater, 2.5" epoxy gravel, 2 bala sharks, 2 clown loachs, 2 otocincli, 2 plecos, 6 hockeystick/tuxcedo tetras, 1 neon tetra, 4 white clouds, 3 string (khuli?) loaches, a few various plants.
I have a Hagen 86.4gal tank (48x18x24) i'm planning on building into a planted tank. I also have a 10 gal Hagen tropiquarium (my son's tank on hold at the moment) and a few other various tanks. I have way tooo much equipment acording to my wife(if there is such a thing :P) Hope to see you around the board an share some good input.

Welcome to the board Dave! Be careful once you start posting you won't be able to stop (so I've been told  )

It looks like you are off to a great start. Just a suggestion: Put your information in a signature (to edit it go to your profile) so it makes answering any questions you might have easier.

Welcome to the Forum Dave

It sounds like you will have an easy go of the transition into the planted tank world with your previous enthusiasm...

Nothing stops a person in their tracks like a lush planted aquarium ! Check out the Gallery
