What makes UG melt?

I just planted my 1st emersed setup about half an hour ago, and I'm freaking out a little.
Anyone want to share the optimal temperature to grow UG at? I heard it melts at high temps. I have in on my windowsill on my desk right now. In the morning it gets direct sunlight. it's about 70F right now. In the morning it was about 80, tops. What else makes this thing melt? Peat? topsoil? Aquarist panic?

Specs:
Substrate (from top to bottom)
SMS
Topsoil/Peat mix (like the kind you buy at hardware store. it smelled faintly like manure and had some white moldy bits)
Osmocote
Power Sand special

It's saturated to the point where there are small puddles.
I have this in a small plastic shoebox.
UG was previously submersed. It arrived looking a little anemic.

Honest, until it roots, it'll be like that. Just let it be for around 2 weeks (maybe less) and it'll turn into a weed. 70*f is fine, I had mine growing at 65F, so cold isn't an issue. 80*F is like its normal "wild" temprature. Perfect. Peat and topsoil is also good for it. It grows great in MTS, and I had mine growing in miracle grow and it did fine. Perhaps its a little too wet? I've had stuff melt if its too wet. I normally have the soil very moist, but not soaking.

If the UG you bought was submerged than it will look unhappy while it transitions. Even if it melts, dont worry. it will come back stronger after it adjusts.
