Dhg spread

I have had my dhg planted in my tank for about a week and I have not really seen any growth yet. I planted the plants in small plugs about 1.5" apart. My tank has about 3 watts per gallon and I do dose ferts and have co2. I have not trimmed the dhg yet but do you guys think I should to get some growth? I do see the dhg pearling just no growth so I think it is healthy.

This is my memory of DHG... weeks of a patience and then BOOM! Let those new roots settle for about another week, let the plant get adjusted and then give it a haircut. Trimming the plant will send out the runners. In no time you will have an invasive weed all over your tank . I just did some heavy trimming of my DHG and pulled out numerous clumps. Now I'm waiting for it to strike back.

Tank looks great. I had a similar experience with DHG it does nothing for a bit then explodes.

Thanks for the trimming tip. I replanted my Belem in the new substrate four months ago with nothing to show for it aside from the occasional clump uprooting itself.
