Rotala magenta

I purchased some rotala magenta the other day from a lfs. I'm nursin them back to health and was wondering if there's any special needs for these plants, I've heard they are difficult to keep. I had to try it it loked nice and they sold me 15+ stems for $2.

It has similar requirements as the regular rotala macrandra. I had stunting problems with both for a long time, until I dosed lots of extra Ca, despite gh=8 from tap water. Why that is the case still puzzles me.

other than what I mentioned, nothing special, keep all nutrients in excess, wihch is the requirement for all plants

Man this plant is impossible to get growing. It's by far the most difficult plant I've tried to keep, especially since for the past 3 months EVERYTHING in my tank has been growing like crazy! Oh well, maybe I'll try some l. arcuata.

Discus grow out. 10gallon Tonina tank, 2x15w T6 ODNO 4x --------------------- I will do aquascapes after I collect all the plant species and grow them to perfection.
