How much PAR constitutes low/medium/high light?

The light ranges shown above are not what is currently accepted by most people. Low light is around 15-35 micromols, medium is around 40 - 60, and high is more than that. Those are not cast in concrete either - just cast in wax (low melting point wax)

Those values are at the substrate level. The PAR values higher in the tank will always be higher, usually much higher.

Yea.. I just realized by fully reading through the other thread. Or pretty much everything in your graphs would be low light. Which doesn't really make sense ._.

Interesting how even with a good reflector, vertically mounting a CFL bulb is wayyy better. I would've thought it would be pretty equal.
