Suggested material to "protect/cover" a plant?

Hi all

I need to cover my glosso for about a week or so to keep it from getting uprooted and eaten by my hungry and curious fish.

I have some plastic screen. I was planning on cutting a piece and weighing it down over the glosso with some plant weights. It's a temporary experiment, but figured I'd try it.

I remember reading other posts about folks covering or pinning down plants with other materials, like nylon, etc.

Any other ideas?

you could try that flimsy mesh stuff used for window screens. Really cheap from home depot. You could even make a frame for it with wire and hot glue. The mesh has large enough holes to let in plenty of light and no fishies/shrimp.

cool, I suspect don't use anything metal in the water though, like wire.
