The Squirell was cool and I like the Yo Yo stuff too, I could do the simple old school stuff with mine and I opened up my desk drawer and it was still there, I bought one for me and my kids one Xmas, Yomega Xbrain and there really old what kind of Yo Yo's are you using, give me a link please.

I mainly use a Project 2 made by One Drop Designs. It's not something that is always in stock. This company does small runs of older throws once in a while. They are always coming out with something new. These aren't like the old yoyos that come back when you tug on them though. You have to learn a trick just to get them to return to your hand. They spin on a ball bearing instead of a fixed axle.

Most modern day metal throws are in the $100 range though. I would suggest getting a yoyofactory plastic if you want to try out a new style yoyo.

Both of those links have forums where you could find info about modern day throwing.
