No, the C. Ferruginea is in an aged tank with MTS. I 've seen two bubbles so far but, I see that with all my dirt tanks at start up

All I can say is, if your ever in Chicago and you stop by to visit Dogfish and he offers you a cup of coffee, just politely say "No Thank You" especially if it is French press!

About Dog Poop:
"On average, wet dog manure contains 0.7% nitrogen (N), 0.25% phosphate (P20 S) and 0.02% potash (K20). Compared to wet cattle manure, dog waste contains 40% more nitrogen, the same amount of phosphate, and 1/20 the amount of potash (Hall & Schulte 1979). " Grass & Oak leaves: Grass - "Clippings contain about 4 percent nitrogen, 2 percent potassium and 1 percent phosphorus. Leaves - "the nitrogen content of composted leaves on a dry basis usually varies from 0.5 to 1.0 percent. Potash amounts are in the same range. Phosphate amounts are around 0.1 percent. Increasing the organic matter content of the soil is the main benefit of incorporating composted leaves into the soil. Coffee Grounds - Contain about 4% nitrogen, 1% phosphorus, and 3% potassium. You can also dilute your coffee grounds with water. This makes an excellent liquid fertilizer that's completely organic.

Having spread my fair share of manure onto more than my fair share of fields, I assure you that supply and labor are not a problem. Feedlots around the US are dying to find ways to get rid of their manure. The labor involves driving in circles and is part of the life of farming.

Dude, that is awesome, lol. I literally did laugh out loud! Just goes to show, people keep over thinking nature, plants will find a way to grow in almost anything anywhere.

I've seen flowers growing in the pavement cracks on the interstate. Plants have "fed" on dog poop as long as there have been dogs.

What is kinda funny is the growth I'm getting from my crypts all recent transplants from my tanks and a few friends here. Very little leaf loss and new leaves on all crypts. The Staurogyne Sp.'Bihar' 8 new leaves. I t have very slow growth in my other MTS tank. But, there is a bit more light in this one.
The only surprise is the Murdanna 'Red'. That was doing well in the other tank with the S. Bihar and it's just the same, I pulled it to check and I do think the roots are bit longer.???

I was going to do that nest week, after the next WC. I'm slowly pulling the Hornwort as part of the process. I'd also like to wait a bit until I get a new camera. These Cell pics are painful to look at
