Aqualight's aluminum housing color

This is trivial, I know. But I'm a girl and it pertains to colors, so then again maybe it's not so trivial, eh...
I think I am pretty much sold on the Aqualight pc fixture but I don't think the color goes with my setup.

Tank stand is light natural wood, tank trim and silicone are black.
My current pc fixture is black and of course together they are so groovy.
I think the above combo with the aluminum color fixture would not look so good.
Do any of you guys have those colors with their Aqualights? Please tell me it doesn't look sick.

I have a few of them on various colored things setups, they are pretty neutral, they would look fine with a black tank.. the sides of the fixtures are actually made of black plastic, as are the fan casings

It looks fine. You're thinking too much.

Well, a strip light is a strip light, so that in itself makes for a not so attractive fixture. I have seven Aqualights over three tanks in my home and can say that the aluminum housing looks not so different than designer rain gutters. But for the money, they're a great buy. But if money were no object I would have gotten some Aqua Medic HQI fixtures instead.

That said, you could use heat resistant paint on the aluminum housings and turn them to whatever color you like (or can find). The plastic end caps unscrew easily so it wouldn't be too painful a process.

Don't know...I look at the fish in the tank, not the fixture above it
