As I just mentioned in a prior post, we had gone on a day-cation today.

We drove north to go to some fish stores and visit some local streams to see if we could find anything.

Although we are in a drought right now, we did manage to find a creek. After much searching, we finally came across some water hyssop. Needless to say I went ahead and picked up a good size amount of it and headed back to the car.

We went to a whole bunch of aquarium stores in Austin but didn't find much until we reached my favorite fish store in Austin - Aquatek.

Their tanks are lovely and the rainbows that showcase some of the planted tanks are beautiful.

I had to get a new plant....I was waiting all day!

I ended up picking up some limnophyla aromatica. Haven't tried it before but we will see how it goes.

Anyways it was a good day and just wanted to share the new plants.
