NItrate and Phosphate Dosing?

I went to the local Garden store today to swee what I could find to dose Nitrates and Phosphates.

For phosphates I found Superphosphate

It is 0-18-0
Available Phosphate (P2O5)...............18%

For Nitrates I found Nitrate of Soda

It is 16-0-0
Total Nitrogen (N)...................16%
16% Nitrate Nitrogen

The question is wil these work and are they safe?

Nitrate of Soda is sodium nitrate. Personally I wouldn't use it because of the extra sodium that would be added. Potassium Nitrate is much much better because of the extra potassium being beneficial rather than problematic as sodium could be.

The Superphosphate is okay, but a much better alternative is the "Ready-to-use Fleet disposable enema. It's already mixed and only requires a few drops. A bottle costs about $2.00 and is probably a several years supply. If you need dosing information let me know.

Thanx for the information Steve. I guess I will return the Nitrate of Soda and the Superphosphate. Those were the 2 best things I could find at the garden store. Where can I obtain "Ready-to-use Fleet disposable enema"?
