30 gallon hexagon planted tank

Hello! This is my first post, so I'm still trying to get the hang of things. I would like to make a Low Tech planted tank out of a 30 gallon hexagon tank. I would like to stick to the Amazon/South American biotype, and I would like to know what kind of plants and fish I could get that fit this description. I already have a large-ish amazon sword, and some smaller ones (I have no idea what they are) two small angelfish, and some guppies. I already have some nice sand as the substrate, but would like to add some pebbles and large river rocks. Does anyone have any ideas of what kind of fish, plants, substrate, etc. that I could get for this tank? Or maybe how I could arrange things?

Hi rain, welcome to TPT. Just wanted to recommend putting some pictures up in order to get better helped. It's kinda hard to give suggestions on a tank when you can't see it. It does sound like you got a good start though, good luck.

What you can do is IF you want a SA/Amazon Bio what you want to do is select plants from that region...this site will help that

Now in this region there's ton of sunken roots and trees SO your water will be Tannis looking (tea like) Select fish from this region as well. These are some of the best looking Biotopes I have seen.

Thanks for the replies. That website has some good plants, but not really what I was looking for. Does anyone know what kind of specific plants that are easy to moderate to grow and come from South America? I was thinking of using some peat mixed with sand underneath a layer of fine brown gravel, like brown flourite, and then putting varying sizes of river rocks on top. Does that sound like it would work? Also, I was thinking of getting flourite gravel, but I heard that it was messy, so would anyone recommend it? Why? Or should I go with some regular old fine gravel?
