Hi all,
I was wondering if just cutting the side shoots and replanting them, was the way to go. Is there another way? Thanks!

Yes, this is the way to propagate any stem plants.

I only keep the nice top part, throw away the bottom

Now two of my stems have reached the surface, would cutting them from the bottom hurt them any? Thanks!

I just trimmed mine and replanted the tops. I didnt pull the bottom out- now i have 2 shoots on each stem comming out. Its a good way to have a thick bushy look.
