Some hairy moss

Hi

unfortunately I can't attach the picuture ...

I suddenly have some kind of hairy moss in my tank. At first they float then form a big floating ball. I'm not sure if I can keep it or just throw away. Right now, I tight them to the bottom but the hairy moss keep growing really fast...

please help

Hi Carman,

Since I'm dying to see what this moss? looks like here's how to insert a pic. You need to use a pic hosting site like photobucket.com. Upload your pics there and copy the Img tag and insert it into your post. You can preview it to make sure it came out right.

some kind of cladaphora algae maybe?
Nice shade of green but I don't think it's moss.

It's definitely hair algae. Pull out as much of it as you can, otherwise it'll quickly overtake your tank.

wow that was lots of work. get the green "cotton candy" is no problem but I spent near 4 hours cleaning them up... 99% gone now...
